As a portrait photographer one of the our most difficult task is to get good lighting with a subject that has glasses. Its challenging to say the least. Corrective lighting and posing take the back seat to making sure there is no reflection of light in the glasses which ruin the picture. Then there is the problem of distortion caused by the lens when you show any part of the background thru glasses. This is a great example of great compromise in lighting and posing. In addition, the retouching was such that I wanted to make the client look his best without making him look like a different person. See the before and after the pictures and see if you can tell what was retouched. There is obvious retouching for the better, however retouching is only used to bring out the best in the subject.
